It’s chapped lip season so I can’t think of a more fitting review right now. The Odacité Aventurine Kiss Lip Serum is enriched with vitamin C + CoQ10 to help treat, plump and hydrate the lips all in one, for a more youthful appearance. You can check out my previous Odacité reviews for their Rose Quartz Gua Sha Tool and All-Embracing Serum here and their Black Mint Cleanser here.
Before I get stuck into my review though let’s talk a little bit about what Odacité stand for and their amazing founder, Valerie.

Odacité was founded by the truly inspirational, Paris born and LA-based, Valerie Grandury. Valerie battled breast cancer and it was through this battle that she realised that in order to heal she would need to address her whole lifestyle and make some big changes. She decided not only to remove toxins completely from her life but also to quit her job and study to become a health and wellness coach.
Odacité’s Aventurine Kiss Lip Serum is a fun new way to get sexy, pouty, kissable Angelina Jolie style lips in an instant and I would definitely buy it again…
Valerie knew that sacrificing the performance of her beauty products wasn’t an option, and with green beauty still in its early stages, she began to create her own custom-made skincare blends for both herself and her clients. It was then Odacité was born. If you’re wondering where the name Odacité came from, well, it is actually a cheeky wordplay on the word audacity. It spawned from Valerie’s way of taking the best from both French skincare and her green Cali living. Pretty sweet hey?!
Odacité sources their ingredients from worldwide locations, only picking those that are highest in quality. All of their products are handmade with love in sunny green California and Odacité promise to never use any fillers, parabens, nanoparticles, petrochemicals, PEG, synthetic perfumes, dyes, or phenoxyethanol. All products are 100% natural and 100% pure. But they don’t stop there – every product is vegan and cruelty-free, carrying the world-renowned PETA certification.
At this time of year, I am really prone to not chapped lips but split lips. Now that I’m coming up to 36 (yup, I know I’m getting old) and I’m an ex-smoker I really need a little extra help around my lip line when it comes to vertical wrinkles. Thankfully Odacité’s Aventurine Kiss Lip Serum’s triple-action formula has been created to address the vertical lines, prevent dryness, and help restore your lips’ natural plumpness.
…the lip serum uses a lot of natural botanical oils to hydrate but also CoQ10 to invigorate the skin for a plumper and firmer look. Vitamins C and E make an appearance to help to improve and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.
At first, I have to admit I was a little sceptical as to whether or not it would be able to reduce those fine lines around my lips but it really did the job. Having said that though I feel that it’s more due to its lip plumping properties from the capsicum extract rather than the CoQ10 but, I can imagine with long term use it would become a more permanent effect. When applying you do feel a slight burn and tingle right away and within a few minutes the fine lines drastically improve. This had to be my favourite thing about the lip serum.
The lip serum is made from 100% natural ingredients – it’s like a high-end facial oil with a few extras added in to help plump out the lips. You can take a look at the full ingredients list below:
Ingredients: Adansonia Digitata [Baobab] Seed Oil, Moringa Oleifera [Moringa] Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis [Jojoba] Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii [Shea Nut Oil] Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba [Meadowfoam] Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii [Shea] Butter, Cocos Nucifera [Coconut] Oil, Theobroma Cacao [Cocoa] Seed Butter, Glycine Soja Seed Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate [Vitamin C], Punica Granatum [Pomegranate] Seed Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea [Marula] Kernel Oil, Vaccinium Corymbosum [Blueberry] Seed Oil, Lactobacillus/Capsicum Frutescens Fruit Ferment Extract, Hordeum Distichon [Barley] Extract, Tocopherols [Vitamin E] Oil, Ubiquinone [Coenzyme Q10], Alcohol, Lecithin, Aqua [Water], Aroma, Phellodendron, Santalum Album [Sandalwood] Extract, Yeast Extract, Cucurbita Pepo [Pumpkin] Seed Oil & Papain, and Rosmarinus Officinalis [Rosemary] Leaf Extract Organic Origin
So as you can see the lip serum uses a lot of natural botanical oils to hydrate but also CoQ10 to invigorate the skin for a plumper and firmer look. Vitamins C and E make an appearance to help to improve and prevent the appearance of wrinkles. The scent is slightly herbal but really almost unnoticeable and it tastes a tad spicy but not offensive.
The serum comes in a fun roller format with an Aventurine green crystal applicator. This kind of brings me back to my childhood memories of buying those fun fruity lip glosses in little bottles with the roller ball applicator but a classier adult version of course. If you’re not familiar with crystals then you’ll be pleased to know that the gorgeously green Aventurine is known for bringing good luck and prosperity to its wearer. Sadly it hasn’t brought me any fun kisses or riches but maybe my luck isn’t up yet.
So, what’s my overall verdict? I found that it had much better plumping effects than BYBI’s Lip Plumper and loved the fact that the serum left you with a glossy glass-like effect but without that icky sticky feeling. Due to its lip plumping ingredients, it also boosted the blood flow to my lips enhancing their natural colour. When it gets cold the colour quite literally drains from my lips so this was a great bonus.
What I didn’t expect was that the moisture really locks into your lips and so even though the gloss effect wears off fairly quickly your lips feel soft and supple all day long. This meant that it made the perfect primer before applying lipstick. You can roll it on over your lips after your lipstick too but I didn’t like doing this as it sort of clogs up into your little Aventurine roller and doesn’t look too pretty.
My only peeve is the price – if you’ve got money to burn then burn it now but it’s way out of my price range! I’m really in love with this luscious, glossy serum, it’s also lasted me a fair few months too which is surprising considering it only contains 2ml of serum. Odacité’s Aventurine Kiss Lip Serum is a fun new way to get sexy, pouty, kissable Angelina Jolie style lips in an instant and I would definitely buy it again if I had the budget for it
