Okay, so… most of the time I am fully Paleo but on the weekends we have a little movie night with the kids and I always end up making them popcorn. As you’ve probably guessed I absolutely cannot exercise any self-control when it comes to popcorn. Especially Gingerbread Caramel Popcorn with toasted walnuts… I mean come on?! Anyway, I have 2 festive popcorn recipes for you this month, this one and then a Peppermint Crunch Popcorn that uses homemade raw chocolate and crushed up candy canes but you can omit these if you’re not down with processed sugars in the festive period (I know I’m not!).

Anyway, you’ll find this yummy scrummy recipe over at Ninja Kitchen – every month I make 2 recipes for them, and yes I do get paid, but my recipes are always top quality and I’m not trying to make you buy anything, don’t worry! But what I will say is that the Ninja blenders can quite literally crush and blend anything. They definitely give my trusty Magimix a run for its money. And speaking of money they’re super cheap too.
This recipe uses butter (or vegan butter), coconut sugar, xylitol, maple syrup, and some festive ground spices for a healthier version of movie popcorn. Now, I am not going to recommend eating this daily, nor would I say eat this weekly as sugar is still sugar! But obviously, these sugars aren’t half as bad as processed sugar, no siree!
