This Red Velvet CBD Hot Chocolate is rich in flavour - with real beetroot, vanilla, and cacao. It's sweet and sour just like a slice of the real thing.
  • 1 cup milk (cashew milk is yummy!)
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 100g/1 medium beetroot (peeled and boiled until tender)
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp agave nectar or xylitol
  • 5-25mg full-spectrum CBD (I use Truth Naturals or Green Stem)
  • Pinch baking powder
  1. Start by stirring the apple cider vinegar into the milk and leave to sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the milk mixture and remaining ingredients (except for the baking powder) to a bullet style blend and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and heat on a low to medium heat until it just comes to the boil.
  4. Pour through a fine-mesh sieve, stir in the baking powder and serve immediately.
